It’s been a while since I did a post featuring Etsy shops and today, I had my eyes on furniture and woodwork. I think these pieces would make fabulous accents to a home.

Black Dress Under $50

Style Love: Black Dress (Fab Finds for Under $50)

The black dress is a basic piece of clothing that every girl must have. It’s one of the most versatile pieces too as you can wear a simple black dress to the office, to a party, to a girl’s night out,  or to a formal event. Wear a blazer or a coat over it, change up your accessories, and you can create an entirely different look.

I searched a couple of online shops for black dresses priced at below $50. There are lots of fabulous finds over at Forever 21. You don’t have to check out the SALE section to find dresses for less than $50. Of course, I checked out Urban OutfittersASOShas a few black dresses in various lengths and styles.  I picked out three which I absolutely love!

500 Days Of Summer

Movie Love: 500 Days Of Summer

Yes, I do love 500 Days of Summer. You’d think that the title is purely speaking about the season, but when you get to the story, it’s really all about the girl, Summer Finn, the sun in Tom Hansen’s life.

There are many reasons why this film is close to my heart. One of the biggest is probably the fact that I am seeing myself in Tom. The two Smiths’ songs in this movie could’ve been borrowed from my life’s soundtrack (or the other way around).

When they broke up and Tom fell in the state of depression, it was Rachel, his younger sister who helped him to get over some of the pain. I’m reminded of Holden Caulfield and his sister Phoebe in Catcher in the Rye.

I love being reminded that there is such a thing as true love. Not that I don’t believe it. But it’s nice to be often reminded. I am envious of Summer’s strength and spontaneity. And, as you might have guessed, I do like her wardrobe.

Home Interior Inspiration: Jessie Zinke via Rue

The second issue of Rue is filled with grandiosity and inspiration! Each home tour reveals an element of surprise. My favorite house tour is the loft of lingerie designer Jessie Zinke. I love how she incorporated architectural prints and bold colors against the plain and the neutral to create a calming yet lively space. Each simple piece like the lighting and the wooden tables bring unexpected uniqueness, accentuated by femininity and loveliness.

Rover Dog Clothing

Shop of the Week: Rover Dog

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted Shop of the Week. Now, I’m happy to introduce you to Rover Dog, a  fabulous clothing line for dogs. If you love dogs, then you’ll want one of these outfits for your pooch! I surely want one or two for my George and Tobi:)
How old is your shop?
The idea to start a clothing line for dogs that was based around classic pieces was first formed in 2007, however it took a few years to get things up and running.  The Etsy shop has only been open since August of 2010.
