Discover Baguio City Philippines!

Two months after the launch of Discover Baguio, I’m happy and proud of what our team has accomplished in such a short span of time.  I personally enjoyed every moment of our “field work”: meeting new people and interviewing business owners who were generous enough to give us the information and the support we need to ensure that each article feature will be worth the read; taking photos on location; and the thrill of discovering new things and places.

Discover Baguio, is a travel website that promotes Baguio City in the Philippines, as a beautiful tourist destination.  Here are some of the articles featured on the site and a peek at some of the photos.  If you have time, please visit the links and share your comments.  And, please take a moment to LIKE our Facebook Page by clicking here.  Thanks much!

An Interview with Photographer: Erica Bushong

For this year, I’m starting this segment with an interview with a gifted and beautiful photographer.  A look at her photography gives you that feeling of warmth and positivity, such vibrance that exudes from within and that she is able to bring out from her subjects.  I discovered her photography when I came across her blog one day and I am simply drawn.  I was so glad that she agreed to do this interview and so may I introduce you all to Erica Bushong.

How did you get into photography?
I have always carried around a camera. Everywhere. Even since I was a kid I was obsessed with documenting life as I knew it. I graduated college with my Bachelors in Graphic Design and was hired on full-time by a photography studio. As soon as I picked up a camera I realized my love of design, color, composition, and light could be intertwined with my love of photography.

Weddings: An Interview with Chris and Verity of Sansom Photography

It was a pleasure to feature wedding photographers Chris Sansom and his lovely wife, Verity Woolf of Sansom Photograpny in an interview on The Weddingbug.

Here is an excerpt from the article.  Please read the full post here.  Thanks:)

How did you get into wedding photography business?
Chris: I started photography with
live music work in 2005 and from there developed a keen interest in the
subject. I went on to study Film production at Leeds Met University and
during my degree I realised that I would really rather work with still
images! When we came to the end of our time at Uni we were keen to stay
in Leeds and were fortunate enough to be able to take on the wedding
photography full time just before we graduated.
Verity: My father has always had a
keen interest in photography and that inspired me to get into it. I
always picked up his Nikon cameras at a young age and without even
asking how to use it I seemed to have a natural intuition about how to
create what I had imagined in my head. I studied Fine Art at university
and that’s where I discovered my real passion for photography. When I
met Chris we instantly had a common interest and it seemed the perfect
idea to collaborate our 2 very different styles and form a business
together. Continue reading. . .

Blog Love: Happenings All Around

It has been a while, (1 whole month to be exact) since I’ve last visited blogs and I can’t tell you enough how much I missed it.  So for today, I’m sharing the happenings all around:
We all love giveaways and there’s some really sweet ones going on right now. Ruche‘s is hosting the “Unending Love” giveaway to promote their fabulous new look book.  Hop over their blog to win $75 worth of gift card.
Dreamy Whites is featuring Jeanne Oliver in an interview. It is an inspiring read especially if you’re planning to start your own business. In celebration of her new line, Jeanne is offering $500 gift card on her blog.
Speaking of new, Kelly Rae Roberts‘ online store is back with goodies that will make your heart flutter. Visit her blog as she talks about her new products or you can hop straight at her shop.
Jen Ramos has a new shop too!  You may have fallen in love with her “I Love You Blogs & Tea”, “I Love You Blogs & Coffee”, and her LOVE prints from Made By Girl.  But you should check out Cocoa & Hearts for her paintings.  To celebrate, she is offering 15% off on everything at Made By Girl.
I also enjoyed meeting Arthur Scott Bailey over at Home & Harmony; reading about Jozen’s little one at Lola’s GirlOh Joy’s vacation in the Bahamas (i’m so envious); i’m loving Julie’s nautical look at Delightful Dozen, specially her necklace; photography sweetness from Magalerie, featured at Paper n Stitch; a cool DIY tip from How About Orange; and listen as Holly Becker from Decor8 talks about her furniture wishlist (i definitely can relate to what she’s saying).
Finally, I’ve been away for too long and it’s exciting to learn that RubyEllen from Cakies and Joy from Oh Joy are both expecting.  Weee! Congratulations moms-to-be!

Do you have a blog, too? If yes, don’t forget leave your blog address. I’d love to visit:)
