This Is My Habitat Contest

A few days ago, I learned about This Is My Habitat Contest from Decor8 (read her post, really worth reading) and Caroline of Patchwork Harmony. I just wanna do a repost on this for those who may have not heard about it yet. It is an exciting competition that I want to share.

Brandi Carlile Fall Concert Tour Series

It’s another day when I wish that airplane tickets doesn’t cost like a year/s-worth-of-salary. Oh, how I wish I could see one of Brandi Carlile’s gig. She’s going on a Fall Concert Tour Series across the US. If you live near, click here to enter the contest and win free tickets to the show. Runners-up will win a copy of her latest album “Give Up the Ghost”.

All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I’ve been
And how I got to where I am
But these stories don’t mean anything
When you’ve got no one to tell them to
It’s true…I was made for you
I climbed across the mountain tops
Swam all across the ocean blue
I crossed all the lines and I broke all the rules
But baby I broke them all for you
Because even when I was flat broke
You made me feel like a million bucks
You do
I was made for you
You see the smile that’s on my mouth
It’s hiding the words that don’t come out
And all of my friends who think that I’m blessed
They don’t know my head is a mess
No, they don’t know who I really am
And they don’t know what
I’ve been through like you do
And I was made for you…
All of these lines across my face
Tell you the story of who I am
So many stories of where I’ve been
And how I got to where I am
But these stories don’t mean anything
When you’ve got no one to tell them to
It’s true…I was made for you.

Happenings and Giveaways from My Blog List

If you’ve been wond’ring what happened to the Shop of the Week segment, it’s still on. There were just some delays with the interviews but I’m so excited that two of them has already given their Q&As and they’re waiting to be featured this coming weeks.
The reason I decided not to post for this week is because I wanted to give these shop owners the entire week, all 7 days for themselves. As you can see, those who will be featured as Shop of the Week will have their Etsy widget or button on the sidebar for the whole week. I know that most of these wonderful sellers already have a huge following but I hope that my blog can help somehow in inviting more people or customers to their shops. So again, I’m calling out to anyone who’s interested to be participate, send me a note at theshopbug@yahoo.com

Anyway, I’m posting some of these lovely happenings and giveaways from the beautiful people on my blog list.

I Got Two Wonderful Suprises This Week!

It’s been a whole week since I last updated my blog. I’m sorry for keeping it hanging again without word. Me and my hubby are over at my mom’s place, visiting. I am so thrilled about the surprises I received while I’m away. I got two, unexpected wonderful surprises, how sweet is that?

The FIRST SURPRISE

Holly , of I Heart Bowheads hosted a giveaway last week. One commenter will get a customized banner or button or both for her blog. To my surprise, I opened my email last week and I was one of the winners. Weeeeee!

Mimi – her mom, was generous enough to make everyone who commented a giveaway winner. There were 8 of us who commented and we’re all winners. Congratulations girls! This is the first time I won anything so thank you Holly and Mimi. I am soooo looking forward to your work. Thanks! =)

The SECOND SURPRISE

Caroline of Patchwork Harmony just gave me The Lemonade Award. Sweet! Thank you so much, Caroline. This really means a lot.

And now to pass on the love. Here are my 10 personal favorite blogs. I actually have more than 10 favorite blogs in my list and most of them are shop-owners and I’m sure I can feature them here on my blog these coming days.

If you haven’t visited these blogs yet, check them out now and I’m sure you’ll find something to inspire or make you smile:

Lilly’s Life

I love Lilly! She’s my first follower and has been supporting my blog for the longest time. Even when I leave it hanging for weeks or months, Lilly drops by to check if I had something new posted or just to say Hi. She’s so generous and her posts are so entertaining, witty, honest and meaningful. I know that she’ll love receiving the Lemonade Award as she loves pointing her readers to other wonderful bloggers she discovers.

For the Lemonade awardees, please, share the love and pass it on…

1)Put the Lemonade Award logo on your blog or post
2) Nominate at least 10 blogs that show great attitude or gratitude
3) Link to your nominees within your post
4) Let the nominees know that they have received this award by commenting on their blog
5)Link to the person from who you received your award

I’m so happy about the comments I’ve been receiving on my blog lately. It’s now a much livelier place today and that’s all thanks to you people. I try my best and I do spend hours putting together one post in the hope that my readers/guests enjoy them as much as I did posting them.

I’m taking this opportunity to thank everyone, especially to the 19 people who’s Following me, who drops by here frequently or even occasionally to see what’s new. I really appreciate your taking time to share your thoughts on my posts.

I’ll do my best to put together posts that will be worth your time checking out. I have many upcoming plans and everything’s currently on preparation. If you’re here reading this, I hope you won’t tire coming here=)

ps
Wasn’t able to do my rounds this week. Rest assured I will be hopping over your blog soon.
